Jul 2ndI’ve been reading a lot about how your thoughts create your reality, so I thought I’d give it a try. Here my Chinese fan palm and Abyssinian Banana plant dance a Cuban Mambo choreographed by an English man in a Carolina garden.

Portulaca Party…Happy Pride

Jun 11thMy little portulacas look like a fiesta every morning. The divas don’t wake up until 10 am and they’ve had enough by noon. They take the rest of the day off – but for those two hours they go full throttle. Here is a video tribute to them — by the way, unlike my alternate persona DJ Fleur, I am really just a confirmed wallflower.

Tribute to Lola, my Sago Palm

May 19thLola, my Sago Palm, had a rough winter. The cold and the snow damaged all her leaves. Last year she didn’t put forth any new growth so I was little bit concerned this spring. I gave her some coffee grounds and apparently that was just the jolt she needed.
