  These are the last few flowers from my garden this year. I put them in my favourite crackly glazed jug.

  Taking advantage of this warm, late fall day. A freeze is on the way. The music is O Paalanhaare from the Lagaan soundtrack.
  
  There are some beautiful colours in the dying leaves.

  Apparently this is how you propagate papyrus plants. Cut the leaves short and sit the stalks upside down in water until the roots grow.

  I love this little parrot. It’s vintage Tonala pottery from Jalisco, Mexico. I think it’s a Carlos Villanueva piece. He’s sitting in a Tlaquepaque casserole dish – which is serving as a bird bath in my tiny garden.
