I had to go to the courthouse to file Michael’s will. I’m grieving and prone to bouts of weeping in public places. The strange thing is there is part of me that says, “You’ve got this. You don’t need to cry” but, there is some other louder voice, (my higher-self ?) saying, “You have to cry. The universe wants you to cry, so that these people around you have an opportunity to act accordingly. And the impact that it will have on them will have significance.” So I wrote this poem to convey this.

(By the way the three ladies at the courthouse who helped me all passed the assignment with their expression of empathy.)
