I finally finished my Raccoon in Brookgreen Gardens. I love the little resurrection ferns that grow on the live oak branches.

Here is my Christmas card for 2017.

We visited Atalaya and now I think I might be inspired to make a card using details from the castle and sea turtles.

So here is my alligator card. I decided to include Hampton Plantation as part of the scene to add a little bit of mystery.

So I colored in my alligators and I found some cypress mulch bits to turn into swamp trees. We also visited Hampton Plantation this week – and I might put that in the card too.

There are lots of alligators in the neighborhood. I haven’t been able to take any good photos of them yet – so I have done some drawings instead. I’d like to put them on a swampy card, perhaps with an old southern plantation house thrown in the mix.
I’ve been missing Brevard for a couple of days – so I did a bit of needle felting…
And I finished painting the guest room…

Here is my second card inspired by the sandpipers running on the beach at the lovely Huntington Beach State Park.
I recently moved to Pawleys Island, SC and I’m loving the lowcountry landscape and all the exciting wildlife – but I really miss the hometown feel of Brevard, NC. Here is my first Pawleys inspired card.
