Finally completed my Sampit River scene inspired by a visit to the Independent Seafood market in Georgetown last February. The pelicans were waiting on the dock for their share of the shrimp.

So I colored in my alligators and I found some cypress mulch bits to turn into swamp trees. We also visited Hampton Plantation this week – and I might put that in the card too.

Jul 9thThere are lots of alligators in the neighborhood. I haven’t been able to take any good photos of them yet – so I have done some drawings instead. I’d like to put them on a swampy card, perhaps with an old southern plantation house thrown in the mix.
